At-Risk (31a) Interventionist


TITLE: At-Risk (31a) Interventionist - (5/7 position, 3rd-7th hours during school year)

QUALIFICATIONS: Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate for grades 6-8 with subject area endorsement(s). Demonstrated knowledge of best instructional practices and research based intervention practices delivered in a Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS)

REPORTS TO: Building Principal

SUPERVISES: Students and works with a team of instructional support aides

JOB GOAL: To provide “real time” push-in and pull-out research-based interventions in the core curricular areas (especially 6th grade math and ELA) to identified At-risk students that are currently below grade level based analysis of M-Step, DIBELS, and other assessment instruments.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Utilize best practice instructional strategies and research-based intervention curriculum materials to meet the learning needs of identified At-risk students in both a push-in and a pull-out model of support.
2. Model the use of research-based intervention strategies, through their use with At risk students in the classroom.
3. Follow district guidelines and policies.
4. Maintain proper professional conduct as defined in the LEA Staff Handbook.
5. Perform other duties as deemed appropriate and assigned by the Building Administrator.
6. Keep in confidence all personal, student or personnel records and information.

Terms of Employment: This grant-funded position is for the 2018-2019 school year with possible renewal for the 2019-2020 school year if funding is available. Compensation will be according to the LEA Master Agreement.

BUS DRIVER

L’Anse Area Schools is currently seeking applications for a bus driver; Monday through Friday, 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Bus run from L’Anse to Hancock.

RATE OF PAY: $14.37-$15.37 per hour based on qualifications & experience.

REQUIREMENTS: A CDL Class B, Passenger and School Bus Endorsements.

Applicants will be required to pass a driver’s records check, fingerprinting/criminal background check and a pre-employment drug screening.
